“ Dr Leonie ”, as she is affectionately called by patients and colleagues, owns and operates Longville Wellness. She is passionate about Acupuncture/Oriental Medicine, and is inspired daily knowing she has the opportunity to make a sometime unexpected difference in someone’s life.

The journey to become a Physician of Eastern Medicine started many years ago as a Home Health Aide (HHA), then she became a Certified Nurse’s Assistant (CNA).  As a CNA, she specialized in wound care, dementia, and Alzheimer’s disease. It was during these times Dr Leonie came to realize her passion and skill for taking care of others, and the importance of a healthy diet.  Being a CNA was only the beginning, the interest in food and  medicine prompted her to  study at Broward College, completing her prerequisites for nursing, with the intention of pursuing a degree in nursing at Nova Southeastern University. However, after the tour,  visits with counselors, and submission of transcripts, Dr Leonie decided to do something different, and something different became Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine.

Leonie Wims L.,Ac. began her career as a Physician of Eastern Medicine after graduating from Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine in 2016, where she completed a Masters in Oriental Medicine and Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration  She went on to further her studies in the doctoral programme for two years.

Dr Leoni Wims Ft Lauderdale,FLSince graduation, she has worked in several clinics and wellness centers, with the majority of her experience and knowledge being gained while interning at the public acupuncture clinic for ATOM, working with the Veteran community at VFW post 8195, and volunteering at Poverello’s Wellness Centre in Ft Lauderdale. Treating patients with chronic pain, auto-immune disorders, and HIV/AIDS helped mold her specialties in pain management, internal disease, herbal, and food therapy. Amalia Lacayo

Amalia LacayoAmalia has been on the path of wellness and holistic living since she was a teenager growing up in Nicaragua; taking yoga classes with her grandmother and going to local farmers to pick up organic vegetables made her appreciate the love of the Plant Kingdom.
In 2005 She graduated as Homeopath; as time progressed, She recognized the interconnected nature of Homeopathy and guided clients towards holistic living, mind, body, and spirit. She was so fascinated with the results of using Homeopathy that She decided to go deeper into this field. She traveled to India to better understand Homeopathy while studying Homeopathy in India Mumbai. She experienced How doctors in India use natural products to heal the skin from within. When she returned to the US, she decided to go back to school to become an Aesthetician.

In 2006 She graduated as an Aesthetician, and she began to blend her signature facials using Homeopathy and natural products to heal the skin with holistic treatments. Working as an Aesthetician, one of the things that she loves is to listen to her clients and listen to their skin. After many facials and listening to clients, She realized a need for natural products. In 20I5, she researched different formulas, testing ingredients with clients’ family members. After a long journey, She found the right ingredients, and Amalia Natural Skincare was born with just one simple idea in mind:  your skin deserves the very best.

Her experience as a holistic Aesthetician and a Homeopath guided her to create a skincare line with nourishing ingredients, sustainable produce, no artificial colors, 100% plant-based organically grown biodynamic made with love for healthy and glowing skin.
Amalia holds a Diploma in Homeopathy from the British Institute of London with a postgraduate course from the School Of Homeopathy in Mumbai, India.
